Rocket-powered car 'Bloodhound SSC' during its first public test run on Thursday hit a 337.9 kmph speed in eight seconds. The car which ran on a 2.7-km-long runway, intermingles technology from Formula 1 race cars, jets and spaceships and is powered by Rolls-Royce EJ200 jet engine. Bloodhound is reportedly aiming to hit a 1,609 kmph speed by 2020.
