She also gave her nod to The Mussalman Wakf (Repeat) Act, 2025. The Waqf Bill was debated for several hours in both Houses, with the BJP saying it aims to help poor Muslims and bring transparency.

Delhivery to acquire rival Ecom Express for an amount not exceeding ₹1,407 cr

Logistics firm Delhivery's board has approved the acquisition of shares equivalent to at least 99.4% of the issued and paid up share capital, on a fully diluted basis, of rival Ecom Express for a purchase consideration not exceeding ₹1,407 crore. "Post completion of such acquisition, Ecom will become a subsidiary of Delhivery," logistics firm Delhivery said.

US starts collecting Trump's new 10% tariff

The US customs agents began collecting US President Donald Trump's unilateral 10% "baseline" tariff on all imports from many countries on Saturday. "The baseline duty of 10% will be effective from April 05, 2025, and the remaining country-specific additional ad-valorem duty will be effective from April 09, 2025," India, hit with a 26% reciprocal tariff, earlier said citing Trump's order.
