Ronaldo suspended by Portugal

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended by the Portuguese Football Federation after disciplinary proceedings were opened over his departure from the national team camp. The federation said the case, initiated on October 9, has been marked as urgent. Ronaldo earlier apologised for leaving the camp following his dispute with coach Jorge Jesus and acknowledged he could face punishment.
