RTI reveals Kerala govt spent ₹13 lakh to invite Messi after minister's 'no cost' claim
According to an RTI reply, the Kerala government spent ₹13 lakh on Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman's trip to Spain in September 2024 to invite Lionel Messi. Earlier, Abdurahiman had claimed that no public money was used to invite Messi. Abdurahiman recently said that Argentina team would not be coming to Kerala in October.
