The Indian rupee appreciated 50 paise to 92.56 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday, hours after US and Iran agreed to extend the Middle East war ceasefire by two weeks. This comes days after the currency recorded its biggest rally in 12 years. The extension caused a jump in Asian and US stocks, gold and silver prices.
