Indian rupee appreciated on Friday and strengthened past the 84 mark against the US dollar for the first time in seven months. Rupee opened at 84.0987 and later traded at 83.9075. "Rupee opened higher due to rumours of an India-US trade deal happening this week and China willingly coming for trade talks with the US," expert Anil Kumar Bhansali said.
