Rupee to open steady but outlook fragile after fall past 90
short by / on Monday, 8 December, 2025
The Indian rupee is expected to open flat-to-slightly weaker on Monday, with traders expecting the currency to trade with a slight depreciation bias after falling past the 90 per dollar mark last week. The 1-month non-deliverable forward indicated the rupee will open in the 89.99-90.02 range versus the US dollar, having settled at 89.98 on Friday.
