Rural girls are being forced to compromise in FYJC admissions due to the newly introduced Centralised Admission Process, as 8 lakh seats remain vacant. Education activist Sandip Deore warns that this trend could significantly impact girls’ participation in higher education. Director Mahesh Palkar, however, defended the system, stating students have opportunity to get admission to good colleges.
