Russia has announced that its scientists have developed a vaccine against a new Ebola strain. Russia said the vaccine may also offer protection against the rare deadly Bundibugyo strain, which has driven the outbreak in Africa's Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Uganda. Currently, the only widely approved Ebola vaccine is Ervebo, which is designed specifically against Zaire strain.
