Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is more focused on starting peace talks with Ukraine than questioning President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's legitimacy. He stated, "The primary thing is to begin this negotiation process,” adding that all other issues are "secondary". Peskov also expressed uncertainty about Ukraine’s response to Putin's proposed three-day ceasefire from May 8-10.
