Russia launched 800 drones towards Ukraine in an attack on Wednesday killing six people and injuring many others, including children, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. The attack came amid US President Donald Trump expressing hopes of an indefinite ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. Both countries earlier agreed to a ceasefire from May 9 to 11 for Russia's Victory Day celebrations.
