Russia ​launched 600 drones and 90 missiles at Ukraine's Kyiv in one of the heaviest bombardments on the city since ‌the start of the war in 2022. Russia used its powerful hypersonic Oreshnik ballistic missile for the third time in Ukraine. It is capable of travelling at ten times the speed of sound and is designed to destroy underground bunkers.
