Russia launched a large-scale drone and missile attack on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, overnight into Saturday, injuring at least eight people. Explosions and machine gun fire were heard throughout the city, forcing many Kyiv residents to take shelter in underground subway stations. The Russian attack came hours after Russia and Ukraine began a major prisoner swap.
