Russia on Saturday recalled its ambassador to Armenia over the country's efforts to strengthen ties with the European Union. Russia had earlier warned Armenia that it could stop the supply of cheap Russian gas to the country and ban the imports of Armenian brandy, fruit and vegetables. Armenia held a summit with the European Union earlier this month.
