Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Alexander Grigoryevich Khozin urged Bangladesh to reduce tensions with India. "The sooner, the better," he added. Recalling the 1971 Indo-Pak war, Grigoryevich said, "Bangladesh gained Independence mostly because India helped as well." Neighbouring countries should be guided by mutual trust and confidence, he further said.
