Russia's IT sector doubles GDP share in six years

Russia's IT sector more than doubled its GDP contribution in six years. Revenue from accredited IT companies reached 5.9 trillion roubles (~$70.1B) in H1 2026, up 68% in three years. Domestic software solutions grew fivefold to 32,000. IT exports rose 15% in 2025, with AI and 5G driving further digital expansion.
