Russia has suspended the use of Aventa-M ventilators after they were believed to have caused the fires at hospitals in Moscow and St Petersburg. Five people died in St Petersburg while one was killed in Moscow. The authorities are investigating the safety of the ventilators. Russia had sent a batch of the same ventilators to the US in April.
