Russia is increasing its defence spending by 25% to 13.5 trillion roubles (over ₹12 lakh crore) in 2025, making it the highest level since the Cold War, as per the draft budget documents. This means that the country will spend 6.3% of gross domestic product (GDP) on defence. The draft budget has been submitted to Parliament's lower house.
