Russian billionaire businessman Andrey Melnichenko ceded ownership of two of the world's largest coal and fertilisers companies to his wife the day before he was sanctioned by the European Union, as per a report. Notably, the sanctions which included freezing his assets and banning his entry into the EU, didn’t apply to his wife or the couple's children.
