Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, returned to Washington, three months after being recalled. Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden agreed to return their respective ambassadors to Washington and Moscow during a bilateral summit in Geneva on June 16. Moscow recalled Antonov in March after Biden said that he believed Putin was "a killer".
