Russian President Putin worked as a spy in East Germany

Russian President Vladimir Putin previously served in the Soviet spy agency KGB in East Germany from 1985 to 1990, also working there as a recruiter for the agency. Under former President Boris Yeltsin's rule, Putin was appointed the Director of the Federal Security Service. The 65-year-old secured his fourth presidential term on Monday.
