A 27-year-old woman died after she was embalmed while undergoing a surgery to remove ovarian cysts at a Russian hospital. Doctors accidentally gave the woman a dose of formaldehyde, which is used for embalming corpses, instead of saline after the surgery. A criminal case has been filed against medical personnel for causing death by negligence.
