A yoga teacher in Russia was detained by police in October last year and charged with 'illegal missionary activity' for delivering a lecture on the philosophy behind yoga. He was charged under the new Yarovaya law that restricts missionary activity that could put pressure on followers outside "traditional" religions. He was later released and is expected to face trial soon.
