Russians used Claude to develop drones that could detonate without human input: Anthropic
Russia-based freelancers used Claude to develop software for autonomous FPV kamikaze drone swarm that could select a “person” target and issue detonation commands without human input, Anthropic said. The team tested code on real hardware and trained a vision classifier on Ukrainian combat footage. Anthropic rated the systems at technology-readiness levels 3-4 and later banned all linked accounts.
