Russia's Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine is 91.6% effective against COVID-19, according to results of a late-stage clinical trial published in The Lancet medical journal on Tuesday. The results were based on data from nearly 20,000 volunteers, researchers said in the journal. The vaccine had been approved by Russia months before results from its final-stage clinical trials were published.
