A 44-year-old woman named Rachna Yadav was shot dead at point-blank range in northwest Delhi on Saturday. The deceased, a resident of Shalimar Bagh and president of her locality's RWA, was a key witness in her husband's 2023 murder case, which, investigators believe, was why she was killed. The killer asked the woman's name before shooting her.
