S3 Ventures has closed its $250 million Fund VIII, strengthening its focus on leading Seed, Series A, and Series B rounds. Led by founder and managing director Brian Smith, the Austin-based firm will invest $500,000 to $15 million initially, with capacity for larger follow-ons, targeting business software and healthcare technology startups across Texas and the broader United States.
