CSK have signed South Africa batter Dewald Brevis as a replacement for the injured Gurjapneet Singh for the remainder of IPL 2025. Brevis was earlier part of MI, where he played 10 matches. He is nicknamed Baby AB due to his batting style, which resembles that of AB de Villiers. Brevis had gone unsold at IPL 2025 mega auction.
