Sabalenka, Djokovic suffer 1st-round exit in US Open mixed doubles

Top seeds Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka lost 1-4, 4-2, 10-2 to Henry Patten and Katerina Siniakova in the opening round of the US Open 2026 mixed doubles. Notably, it was the first time Djokovic and Sabalenka had teamed up in their careers. Patten and Siniakova later lost to Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina 5-4(6), 4-5(3), 10-8 in the quarter-finals.
