CPI(M) has spoken against the ban on the entry of menstruating women in Sabarimala Temple, saying those having a "feudal" and "anti-women" mindset are endorsing the restriction. In a recent article​ published in the party mouthpiece 'Deshabhimani', the party said the restriction was an echo of the outdated class system which was keen to retain male dominance in the society.
