The government Friday declared 31st October as "Rashtriya Ekta Diwas" (National Unity Day) to mark the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On this day every year, all government employees as well as school and college students will take a pledge to maintain the unity and integrity of the country.
