The Airports Authority of India on Friday defended Air Traffic Control's safety record, calling it "comparable to best in the world." It claimed that the IndiGo flight was taxing and SpiceJet flight was unable to take-off due to poor visibility when they came face-to-face. It had earlier said the ATC had mixed up the location of one aircraft with another.
