JSW Group promoter Sajjan Jindal has raised around ₹6,000 crore by pledging a portion of JSW Steel promoter shares to leading mutual funds, Moneycontrol reported. The funding will help the group acquire a controlling stake in paintmaker AkzoNobel India. In June, JSW Paints announced that it will acquire a 74.76% stake in AkzoNobel India for around ₹8,986 crore.
