American cloud computing company Salesforce on Wednesday announced the acquisition of the cloud-based e-commerce services provider Demandware for around $2.8 billion. With this, Salesforce will enter into the e-commerce market with a new business division called 'Commerce Cloud'. Demandware, which raised $88 million in its initial public offering in 2012, is currently valued at $1.87 billion.
