Salesforce has promoted COO Bret Taylor, Google Maps co-creator, to the role of co-CEO, alongside Marc Benioff. Taylor, 41, joined Salesforce in 2016, through the $750 million acquisition of his productivity software startup Quip. Before joining Salesforce, Taylor, who at one time was CEO at early social network FriendFeed, also served as CTO at Facebook from 2009-2012.
