Salman Khan has paid ₹44.5 crore to become Bollywood's highest advance tax payer for 2016-17. Kapil Sharma submitted an advance tax of ₹23.9 crore as compared to only ₹7 crore in 2015-16. However, the Income Tax department declined to give advance tax figures for Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai as they're under investigation over Panama Papers case.
