A same-sex couple, comprising a 28-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman, seeking validity for their relationship registered a notarised MoU in a Pune court to ensure protection from their families who are against their relationship. The family of the 19-year-old began to harass them and since February, they faced "serious threat to their lives", the couple's lawyer Vikas Shinde said.
