Samsung Electronics may lay off about 5 percent of its employees in India as the South Korean company is looking at cost-cutting measures amid decline in sales, as per media reports. The company had reportedly told about 90 employees to resign with immediate effect last week. Furthermore, about 125-150 employees are likely to be asked to quit after Diwali.
