Slovakian PM Robert Fico criticised the European Union (EU) for imposing a new round of sanctions on Russia amid ongoing peace talks with Ukraine, calling the sanctions "a plague." Fico stated that such measures hurt the EU more than Russia. This comes after the EU approved a 17th package of sanctions against Russia, which targets its nearly 200 oil tankers.
