Sandeep Singh Gill has been appointed as the new rural Pune Superintendent of Police (SP), while Pankaj Deshmukh is the new Additional Commissioner, according to the Maharashtra Home Department. This bureaucratic reshuffle involves the transfer and promotion of several senior IPS officers. Deshmukh had previously challenged a mid-term transfer before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
