Actor Sanjay Dutt, who's set to star in 'Khalnayak Returns', reportedly approached filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi to direct the project. However, Santoshi is said to have declined the offer as he is currently busy giving final touches to 'Lahore 1947', starring Sunny Deol. Sanjay recently revealed that he came up with the idea for 'Khalnayak Returns' while he was in jail.
