As per reports, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta wants to direct the sequel to the 2002 film 'Kaante', as he had directed the original film. Sanjay is said to be keen to cast Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in the sequel. The original film was a multi-starrer with Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty among those in the lead roles.
