A sessions court in Mumbai granted bail to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut in defamation case filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya's wife. The court also continued the suspension of his sentence in the case. A magistrate court had convicted Raut and imposed a 15-day imprisonment sentence on him but later suspended it for a month over Raut's appeal.
