Saradha group head Sudipto Sen was on Friday sentenced to 3 years in prison for defaulting on depositing the provident fund of his employees. The court also fined him Rs 10,000 in the case. Sen is purported to be the mastermind of the multi-billion-rupee chit fund scam that rocked West Bengal in 2013.
