PM Narendra Modi on Friday said Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel wanted to unite the entire Kashmir with India, just like he did with other princely states. "But [Jawaharlal] Nehru stopped his wish from being fulfilled," he added. "Kashmir was divided and given a separate Constitution...and the nation suffered for decades because of Congress' mistake," he stated.
