Progressive farmers have adopted innovative and high-value crops due to continued efforts by the state government to promote agriculture and horticulture diversification. An example of this transformation, farmer Prem Chand of Thaur village in Jukain gram panchayat of Sarkaghat subdivision in Mandi district has taken up dragon fruit cultivation, setting an example for other farmers of the region.
