After suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) by India after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, satellite pics showed reduced flow of water in the Chenab river. Satellite images of the Marala Headworks in the Sialkot area taken on April 21 and on April 26, showed higher levels of silt and sedimentation ahead of the barrage.
