Satnam Singh Bhamara became the first Indian player to be drafted in the National Basketball Association (NBA) League after he was picked by the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday in the 2015 NBA draft. The 7'2", 290-pound player, who belongs to Punjab, was sent to a government basketball academy when he was 12 and, after two years, he moved to Florida.
