Saturn’s rings are no more than 400 million years old: Study

Saturn's rings are relatively young, being no more than 400 million years old, despite the planet's formation over four billion years ago, researchers stated. By analyzing data from NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which studied the grains of rocky material passing through the solar system, they found a thin layer of cosmic dust is left behind on planetary bodies, including Saturn's rings.
