Satyanarayan Nandlal Nuwal, Founder and Chairman of Solar Group of Industries was conferred with Padma Shri 2026 in Trade and Industry category by President Droupadi Murmu. He has been recognised for contributing to India's defence manufacturing ecosystem. "Receiving this award is a matter of pride," Nuwal said, whose firm made India's first weaponised drone, which was used in Operation Sindoor.
